  1. Install and maintain fiber optic equipment to ensure efficient and reliable internet connections for customers.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fiber optic equipment and network.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on fiber optic equipment and network.

  • Knowledge Of Fiber Optic Technology: A Fiber Technician I Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Fiber Optic Technology, Including Installation, Maintenance, And Troubleshooting Of Fiber Optic Networks.

  • Hands-On Experience: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working With Fiber Optic Cables And Equipment, Including Fusion Splicers, Otdrs, And Other Testing Tools.

  • Industry Certifications: Possession Of Relevant Industry Certifications, Such As Foa Cfot Or Eta Fiber Optics Installer (Foi), Demonstrates A High Level Of Expertise In Fiber Optic Technology And Best Practices.

  • Physical Ability: The Job Of A Fiber Technician I Requires Physical Work, Such As Climbing Ladders And Working In Confined Spaces, So Candidates Should Possess Physical Fitness And Agility.

  • Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For A Fiber Technician I, As They Will Be Required To Communicate With Customers, Vendors, And Other Team Members To Complete Projects Efficiently And Effectively.
