  1. Install and maintain fiber optic solutions for Cox Business customers.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fiber optic technology and networking.
  3. Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
  4. Continuously learn and stay updated on advancements in fiber optic technology and industry trends.
  5. Prioritize and manage workload to meet customer needs and expectations.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  7. Follow industry safety standards and procedures while working on fiber optic installations.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work performed.
  9. Monitor and maintain network performance to ensure optimal functionality.
  10. Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management regarding project updates and timelines.
  11. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  12. Act as a positive representative of Cox Business, promoting our brand and services.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Fiber Optic Technology: A Fiber Technician I Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Fiber Optic Technology, Including Installation, Maintenance, And Troubleshooting Of Fiber Optic Cables And Equipment.

  • Experience With Telecommunications Equipment: Candidates Should Be Familiar With Various Telecommunications Equipment Such As Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (Otdrs), Fusion Splicers, And Power Meters.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Design Documents: The Role Requires The Ability To Read And Interpret Design Documents And Schematics, Including Blueprints, Maps, And Technical Drawings.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Fiber Technician I, Effective Communication Is Crucial For Collaborating With Team Members, Customers, And Vendors.

  • Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Skills: The Position Requires A Strong Attention To Detail And The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Technical Issues Efficiently. Candidates Should Also Possess Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Resolve Potential Network Problems.
