Lab Assistant

Covenant Health Care is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our professional lab team. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual who is committed to providing accurate and timely results to our patients. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine laboratory tests, collecting and processing specimens, and assisting in the maintenance of laboratory equipment. To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. An Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field is preferred, as is prior experience in a laboratory setting. Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze results
2. Collect and process specimens for laboratory tests
3. Assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment
4. Maintain accurate and timely records of laboratory results
5. Follow all safety protocols and procedures
6. Ensure compliance with all laboratory regulations
7. Monitor laboratory supplies and order replacements as necessary
8. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
9. Provide assistance to other lab staff as needed
10. Stay up-to-date on laboratory techniques and equipment
