- Receive and process laboratory specimens according to established procedures and protocols.
- Accurately label and record specimen information, ensuring proper identification and tracking.
- Properly handle and store specimens to maintain specimen integrity and prevent contamination.
- Review and verify specimen information, including patient demographics and test orders, for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate and coordinate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and efficient processing of specimens.
- Maintain and update specimen logs and databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Adhere to all safety and quality control protocols to ensure the integrity of specimens and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any specimen-related issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with new procedures and protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including patients, healthcare professionals, and laboratory staff.
