  1. Monitor and respond to security incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Investigate and analyze security breaches and vulnerabilities, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions.
  3. Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures to ensure swift and effective response to security incidents.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and compliance, to ensure proper handling and resolution of security incidents.
  5. Stay informed on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, and proactively identify potential risks to the company.
  6. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with established security protocols.
  7. Train and educate employees on security best practices and procedures, and provide guidance on incident prevention and response.
  8. Document all security incidents, including timeline, actions taken, and outcomes, and provide detailed reports to management.
  9. Continuously improve incident response processes and procedures to enhance the company's overall security posture.
  10. Collaborate with external parties, such as law enforcement and third-party vendors, to assist in the resolution of security incidents.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Cybersecurity Threats And Vulnerabilities: A Security Incident Responder At Covance Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Current And Emerging Cyber Threats, As Well As The Ability To Identify And Mitigate Vulnerabilities In The Company’s Systems And Networks.

  • Experience With Incident Response Tools And Technologies: Candidates For This Role Should Have Hands-On Experience With Various Incident Response Tools And Technologies, Such As Siem (Security Information And Event Management), Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, And Forensic Investigation Tools.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Security Incident Responder Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Security Incidents And Identify The Root Cause, As Well As Develop Effective Solutions To Mitigate The Impact Of These Incidents.

  • Communication And Collaboration Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Various Teams And Stakeholders, So Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential. The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams Is Also Crucial.

  • Relevant Certifications: Candidates With Relevant Industry Certifications, Such As Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp) Or Certified Incident Handler (Gcih), Will Be Preferred For This Role. These Certifications Demonstrate A Level Of Expertise And Commitment To The Field Of Incident Response.
