- Develop and implement regional EHS policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with global company standards and regulations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to site EHS teams and ensure consistent implementation of EHS practices across the region.
- Conduct regular site visits and audits to assess and improve EHS performance, providing recommendations and corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential EHS risks and hazards in the workplace.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant EHS regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Track and report on key EHS metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
- Lead incident investigations, identifying root causes and developing action plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and deliver EHS training and educational programs for employees and contractors.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and participate in external audits and inspections.
- Drive a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization, promoting awareness and accountability at all levels.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into hiring, onboarding, and employee development processes.
- Champion sustainability initiatives and support the company's commitment to environmental stewardship.
- Mentor and develop site EHS teams, providing guidance and support in their professional growth and development.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 7 Years Experience In A Leadership Role In The Ehs Field, Preferably In A Regional Or Multi-Site Capacity.
Strong Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Ehs Regulations And Compliance Requirements.
Proven Track Record Of Implementing Successful Ehs Programs And Initiatives.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Influence Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization.
