As a PST Specialist, you will play a crucial role in collecting and processing blood and other biological samples for clinical trials.   1. Perform blood and other biological sample collection from participants in clinical trials according to established protocols and procedures.
  2. Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of samples to maintain sample integrity and accuracy.
  3. Accurately record and document all sample collection and processing information.
  4. Communicate effectively with study participants to explain procedures and answer any questions or concerns.
  5. Collaborate with study coordinators and other team members to ensure efficient and timely sample collection and processing.
  6. Adhere to all safety and quality control standards to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  7. Assist with maintaining inventory and supplies needed for sample collection and processing.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during sample collection or processing.
  9. Stay up-to-date with training and certifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to study participants and maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times.
  11. Maintain accurate and organized records of all sample collections and processing.
  12. Contribute ideas and suggestions for process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of services.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy regulations regarding participant information.
  14. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and accurate transfer of samples and data.
  15. Attend team meetings and provide updates on sample collection and processing status.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field, Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Medical Technology.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Performing Pre-Analytical Processing, Including Specimen Handling And Preparation, In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Regulatory Requirements, Including Clia And Hipaa.

  • Excellent Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Document And Track Specimens And Testing Processes.

  • Familiarity With Laboratory Information Management Systems (Lims) And Other Relevant Software For Specimen Tracking And Data Entry.
