  1. Perform blood collection procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
  2. Greet patients and provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for blood collection.
  3. Verify patient information and obtain consent for blood collection.
  4. Ensure accurate labeling of all collected samples and proper documentation of procedures.
  5. Handle and process samples according to established procedures and protocols.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy equipment and work area.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent contamination and ensure the well-being of patients.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate any concerns or questions.
  9. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of test results.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on industry and company protocols and procedures.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of patient and company information.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service and patient care.
  13. Proactively identify and troubleshoot any issues or challenges that may arise during blood collection.
  14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.
  16. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to ensure high-quality and efficient blood collection.
  17. Meet productivity goals and targets set by the company.
  18. Attend and participate in team meetings and trainings.
  19. Maintain accurate and organized records of all collected samples.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Phlebotomy Training Program: Candidates For A Psc Phlebotomist Job At Covance-Labcorp Should Have Completed A Formal Phlebotomy Training Program From An Accredited Institution. This Will Ensure That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Blood Draws And Handle Specimens Safely And Accurately.

  • Certification As A Phlebotomist: While Not Always Required, Having A Nationally Recognized Certification As A Phlebotomist, Such As From The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha), Can Demonstrate A Candidate's Proficiency And Dedication To The Field.

  • Prior Experience In A Clinical Setting: Covance-Labcorp May Prefer Candidates Who Have Previous Experience Working As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Setting. This Could Include Experience In A Hospital, Laboratory, Or Other Healthcare Facility.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Is Essential For A Psc Phlebotomist Job At Covance-Labcorp.
