- Perform blood draws and collect other specimens from patients with precision and care.
- Ensure all samples are properly labeled and stored for accurate testing and analysis.
- Follow established protocols and procedures for sample collection and handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and sanitation standards.
- Interact with patients in a compassionate and professional manner to provide a positive experience.
- Accurately record and maintain patient information, including medical histories and test results.

Completion Of A Formal Phlebotomy Training Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Certified Phlebotomy Training Program From An Accredited Institution.
State Certification And/Or Licensure: In Addition To Completion Of A Training Program, Candidates Should Have A Current Certification And/Or Licensure From The State In Which They Will Be Practicing.
Experience In Blood Collection Procedures: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Performing Phlebotomy Procedures, Including Venipuncture, Capillary Puncture, And Specimen Handling And Processing.
Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols: Due To The Nature Of The Job, Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Safety Protocols, Including Proper Handling And Disposal Of Biohazard Materials.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Phlebotomist, Candidates Will Be Working Directly With Patients And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Providing Quality Patient Care And Maintaining A Professional Demeanor.
