  • Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Label and process specimens according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain proper documentation and follow quality control procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and ensure their comfort and well-being during the phlebotomy process.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and colleagues to ensure efficient and effective specimen collection and processing.
  • Utilize knowledge of different specimen collection methods and equipment to ensure accuracy and quality of results.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems related to specimen collection or processing.
  • Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment and report any shortages or malfunctions.
  • Stay updated on and comply with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in phlebotomy and laboratory testing.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Assist with training and mentoring new phlebotomists as needed.
  • Adhere to company values and uphold a positive and professional image of the organization at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Phlebotomy: A Phlebotomist At Covance-Labcorp Must Possess A Valid Certification In Phlebotomy From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Individual Has Received The Necessary Training And Has The Required Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Effectively.
