- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to phlebotomy procedures or equipment.

Certification And Training: A Phlebotomist At Covance-Labcorp Should Possess A Valid Certification From An Accredited Phlebotomy Training Program. This Includes A Comprehensive Understanding Of Blood Collection Techniques, Safety Protocols, And Medical Terminology.
Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Or Laboratory Setting Is Preferred. This Demonstrates The Ability To Handle Various Types Of Blood Draws, Work With Different Patient Populations, And Follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Knowledge Of Quality Control And Regulatory Standards: A Phlebotomist At Covance-Labcorp Must Be Well-Versed In Quality Control Measures And Regulatory Standards To Ensure Accurate And Consistent Blood Collection And Handling. This Includes Knowledge Of Clia, Osha, And Hipaa Regulations.
Attention To Detail: The Ability To Accurately Identify Patients, Correctly Label Specimens, And Maintain Detailed Records Is Crucial In This Role. A Phlebotomist Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Follow Protocols Precisely To Ensure The Integrity Of The Samples.
Interpersonal And Communication Skills: As A Phlebotomist, You Will Interact With Patients Of All Ages And Backgrounds. Strong Communication Skills, Compassion, And Empathy Are Essential For Creating A Positive And Comfortable Experience For Patients.
