In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing and clinical trials.   1. Perform blood draws on patients in a safe, efficient, and compassionate manner.
  2. Follow established protocols and procedures for collecting and handling blood samples.
  3. Ensure accuracy and quality control of all collected samples.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work area, as well as proper inventory of supplies.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers.
  6. Document all procedures and patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Adhere to all relevant safety and infection control guidelines.
  8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  9. Continuously monitor and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the blood collection process.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to patients and demonstrate empathy and professionalism at all times.
  12. Adhere to company policies and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records.
  14. Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, including evenings and weekends.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: The Candidate Must Be A Certified Phlebotomist, With A Valid Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Phlebotomy Association (Npa).

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As A Phlebotomist Is Required For This Prn Job. Experience In A Clinical Or Laboratory Setting Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding And Knowledge Of Safety Protocols Related To Blood Collection, Handling, And Disposal. This Includes Knowledge Of Osha, Clia, And Hipaa Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential For This Role. The Candidate Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Laboratory Staff.

  • Flexibility And Availability: As A Prn Job, The Candidate Must Be Available To Work On An As-Needed Basis, Including Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays. Flexibility In Schedule And Availability Are Key Qualifications For This Role.
