1. Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
2. Ensure proper patient identification and labeling of specimens according to established protocols.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to proper infection control practices.
4. Provide compassionate and professional care to patients during procedures, including addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
5. Follow all standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to maintain high quality and accuracy of specimens.
6. Communicate effectively with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of specimens.
7. Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of supplies and notify appropriate personnel when supplies need to be ordered.
8. Keep up-to-date with industry changes and advancements in phlebotomy techniques and procedures.
9. Handle and resolve any specimen or patient-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
