  1. Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and accurate manner.
  2. Follow established procedures for proper specimen handling and processing.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all equipment is properly sanitized.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers to provide a positive and professional experience.
  5. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent injury or infection.
  6. Accurately label specimens and maintain proper documentation.
  7. Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the blood collection process.

  9. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient concerns and inquiries.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Valid Certification From A Nationally Recognized Phlebotomy Program Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Is Required For This Position.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Phlebotomy Is Preferred. This Includes Experience In A Clinical Or Laboratory Setting, As Well As Experience With A Variety Of Venipuncture Techniques.

  • Attention To Detail: A Phlebotomist Must Have A Keen Attention To Detail In Order To Accurately Collect, Label, And Handle Blood Samples. This Is Essential For Ensuring The Integrity Of The Samples And The Accuracy Of The Test Results.

  • Interpersonal Skills: As A Phlebotomist, You Will Be Interacting With Patients On A Daily Basis. Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary To Make Patients Feel Comfortable And At Ease During The Blood Collection Process.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Procedures: A Phlebotomist Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Procedures, Including Infection Control And Proper Handling And Disposal Of Biohazardous Materials. This Is Crucial For Maintaining A Safe And Sanitary Work Environment For Patients And Staff.
