  1. Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Ensure proper identification and labeling of all blood samples collected.
  3. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients to ensure a positive and comfortable experience.
  5. Accurately record and report all collected samples and patient information.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  7. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  8. Maintain and calibrate equipment, report any malfunctions to management.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients.
  10. Follow established protocols for handling and transporting samples to the laboratory.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
  12. Maintain patient confidentiality and handle all information with utmost sensitivity.
  13. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining records.
  14. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or concerns related to phlebotomy procedures.
  15. Continuously strive for accuracy and quality in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification/License: A Phlebotomist Must Possess A Valid Certification Or License From A Recognized Institution Or Agency Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Phlebotomy Association (Npa).

  • Previous Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Phlebotomist Is Preferred, With A Strong Understanding Of Phlebotomy Techniques, Safety Protocols, And Equipment.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Including Common Lab Tests, Abbreviations, And Procedures.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Phlebotomist, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Coworkers, And Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Also Essential For Providing A Comfortable And Supportive Environment For Patients.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: The Role Of A Phlebotomist Requires Flexibility And Adaptability, As Shifts May Vary And Unexpected Changes May Occur. A Candidate Must Be Able To Handle A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Work Environment With Ease.
