  1. Greet and welcome patients to Covance with a warm and professional demeanor.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and addressing any concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
  3. Collect and accurately record patient information and medical history.
  4. Perform diagnostic procedures and collect specimens as required for clinical trials.
  5. Ensure compliance with all protocols and procedures to maintain the integrity of clinical trial data.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of patient services.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
  8. Regularly communicate with patients to provide updates and guidance on the clinical trial process.
  9. Assist with the coordination of patient appointments and scheduling to ensure efficient and timely treatment.
  10. Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction by actively seeking and implementing feedback and suggestions.
  11. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in drug development solutions to enhance knowledge and skills.
  12. Adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards in the conduct of patient services.
  13. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance job performance and contribute to a positive team culture.
  14. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and the advancement of healthcare through adherence to company values and goals.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support the success of clinical trials and patient services at Covance.

Job Qualifications
  • Relevant Education Or Certification: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required, And Applicants With An Associate's Or Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Medical Technology Or Nursing, May Be Preferred. Additionally, Certification As A Medical Laboratory Technician (Mlt) Or Phlebotomy Technician (Pt) May Be Required.

  • Experience In A Clinical Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Clinical Or Healthcare Setting Is Typically Required For A Patient Service Technician Position At Covance. This May Include Experience As A Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant, Or Other Related Role.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Patient Service Technicians Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Other Team Members. This Includes The Ability To Explain Procedures And Answer Questions In A Clear And Professional Manner.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Patient Service Technician, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Accurately Collecting, Handling, And Labeling Samples And Ensuring All Necessary Documentation Is Completed. This Role Also Requires Proficiency In Following Standard Operating Procedures And Maintaining Accurate Records.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures: Covance May Require Applicants To Have Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures, Such As Centrifugation, Pipetting, And Sample Storage. Some Positions May Also Require Experience With Specialized Equipment, Such As Automated Analyzers Or Point-Of-Care Testing Devices.
