  1. Provide technical support to employees on a variety of IT-related issues, including hardware, software, network, and system access.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner, escalating complex issues to the appropriate team when necessary.
  3. Monitor and respond to IT help desk tickets, ensuring that all requests are addressed and resolved within established service level agreements.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all help desk interactions, including details of issues and resolutions.
  5. Educate employees on proper use of technology systems and tools, including providing training and resources as needed.
  6. Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and resolve recurring issues, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  7. Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements, and proactively suggest ways to improve the company's IT infrastructure.
  8. Provide excellent customer service by communicating in a clear and professional manner, and following up with employees to ensure their issues have been resolved.
  9. Monitor and maintain the company's IT equipment inventory, including tracking and ordering necessary supplies.
  10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as IT security protocols, to ensure the protection of sensitive data and information.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay current with industry certifications and training.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Computer Science Principles And Concepts Is Essential For An It Help Desk Role At Covance. A Bachelor's Degree Provides A Comprehensive Understanding Of Computer Hardware, Software, And Networking.

  • Prior Experience In Technical Support Or Customer Service: This Role Requires Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills. Previous Experience In Technical Support Or Customer Service Roles Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Ability To Handle And Resolve Complex Technical Issues Efficiently.

  • Knowledge Of Operating Systems And Software Applications: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Operating Systems Such As Windows, Macos, And Linux, And Be Familiar With Common Software Applications Used In A Corporate Environment.

  • Familiarity With Itil Framework: Covance Follows Itil (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Best Practices For It Service Management. Knowledge Of Itil Concepts, Processes, And Terminology Is Highly Preferred For This Role.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment: The It Help Desk Team At Covance Works In A Fast-Paced Environment, And The Candidate Should Be Able To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks Effectively. They Should Also Be Adaptable To Changing Technologies And Be Able To Learn New Tools Quickly.
