  1. Provide technical assistance to colleagues across the company through various channels such as phone, email, and chat.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently.
  3. Document all technical issues and resolutions accurately in a ticketing system.
  4. Collaborate with team members and other IT departments to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  5. Keep up-to-date with company technology and systems to provide accurate and timely support.
  6. Provide excellent customer service by actively listening, understanding, and addressing the needs of colleagues.
  7. Continuously improve technical knowledge and skills through self-learning and training opportunities.
  8. Follow established processes and procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality support.
  9. Identify and communicate recurring technical problems and suggest solutions to prevent them.
  10. Contribute to creating and updating technical support documentation and knowledge base articles.
  11. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including data security and confidentiality.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards colleagues and represent the IT Help Desk team in a positive light.
  13. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to share knowledge and best practices.
  14. Actively participate in projects and initiatives to improve the overall IT support experience.
  15. Complete other related tasks and projects as assigned by the IT Help Desk Manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In It Is Essential For The Role Of An It Help Desk Professional At Covance. A Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or A Related Field Provides A Solid Foundation In The Technical Skills And Knowledge Needed To Troubleshoot And Resolve It Issues.

  • Previous Experience In A Customer Service Role: The It Help Desk Position At Covance Requires Strong Customer Service Skills. Candidates Should Have Previous Experience In A Customer-Facing Role, As They Will Be Responsible For Assisting And Communicating With A Diverse Range Of Users With Varying Levels Of Technical Knowledge.

  • Proficient In Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving: The Ability To Quickly And Accurately Troubleshoot Technical Issues Is Crucial For Success In This Role. Candidates Should Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills And Be Able To Think Critically To Identify And Resolve Complex It Problems.

  • Familiarity With It Systems And Software: A Strong Understanding Of Various It Systems And Software Is A Must For The It Help Desk Role At Covance. Candidates Should Be Proficient In Microsoft Office Suite, Operating Systems, And Various Hardware And Software Applications.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As The Primary Point Of Contact For It Support, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.
