- Conduct phlebotomy procedures on patients in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follow established protocols and procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing.

Certification: A Valid Certification From A Nationally Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Is Required For The Role Of Iop Phlebotomist At Covance-Labcorp. This Certification Demonstrates Proficiency In Phlebotomy Techniques And Knowledge Of Relevant Safety Protocols.
Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Phlebotomy Is Preferred For This Position. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Proper Blood Collection Procedures, Specimen Handling, And Processing.
Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role As Iop Phlebotomists Are Required To Interact With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Laboratory Staff On A Daily Basis. The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Follow Instructions Is Crucial For Accurate Specimen Collection And Processing.
Attention To Detail: Attention To Detail Is Critical In The Role Of An Iop Phlebotomist As Even The Smallest Errors In Specimen Collection Or Labeling Can Have A Significant Impact On Test Results. Candidates Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Perform Tasks Accurately And Efficiently.
