- Perform tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining according to established protocols and SOPs.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments used in histological analysis.
- Prepare and maintain reagents and solutions necessary for tissue staining and analysis.
- Accurately record and document all experimental procedures and results.
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies and materials for the histology department.
- Participate in the development and optimization of new histological techniques and procedures.
- Perform quality control checks and maintain high standards of accuracy and precision in all experiments.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors to provide updates on project progress and results.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant scientific literature and attend training sessions to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by supporting and assisting colleagues when needed.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times.
- Participate in client and regulatory audits and assist with the preparation of necessary documentation.
- Contribute to the success of the company by actively seeking opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Histotechnologist (Htl) From The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Histology Laboratory, Preferably In A Clinical Or Research Setting.
Proficiency In Performing Routine And Specialized Histology Techniques, Including Tissue Processing, Embedding, Microtomy, Staining, And Immunohistochemistry.
Strong Attention To Detail, Organizational Skills, And Ability To Work Independently As Well As In A Team Environment.
