- Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients with accuracy and efficiency.
- Collect and properly label blood specimens according to established protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding of the phlebotomy process.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent the risk of infection or injury to patients and staff.
- Document and record patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all laboratory regulations and standards to maintain quality and accuracy of results.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on industry developments and advancements in phlebotomy techniques.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with other laboratory tasks and duties as needed.
- Report any issues or concerns to superiors in a timely manner.
- Uphold the company's mission and values in all interactions and tasks.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Or Laboratory Setting.
Certification From A Recognized Phlebotomy Program Or Organization Such As The American Society Of Phlebotomy Technicians (Aspt) Or The National Phlebotomy Association (Npa).
Proficient In Venipuncture Techniques And Proper Handling And Labeling Of Specimens.
Strong Knowledge Of Osha And Hipaa Regulations Related To Blood Collection, Handling, And Disposal.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Team And Communicate Clearly With Patients.
