  1. Perform a wide variety of laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
  2. Follow standard operating procedures and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.
  3. Analyze and interpret test results, and report any abnormalities or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
  4. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure proper functioning and accuracy of results.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, and order replacements as needed.
  6. Document all laboratory procedures, results, and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  8. Adhere to strict quality control procedures and participate in proficiency testing to ensure accuracy and precision of results.
  9. Stay updated on current industry trends, advancements, and best practices in laboratory science.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area, and comply with all safety protocols and procedures.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and patients.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of new laboratory techniques and procedures.
  13. Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and data protection.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field: A Clinical Laboratory Technologist At Covance-Labcorp Must Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, Or A Related Field To Demonstrate A Strong Foundation In Laboratory Techniques And Procedures.

  • Certification From A Recognized Organization: Candidates Must Have A Valid Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt), To Ensure They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Laboratory Tests Accurately.

  • Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting: Covance-Labcorp Seeks Candidates With At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A High-Volume Environment. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle A Variety Of Laboratory Tests And Work Efficiently Under Pressure.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Clinical Laboratory Technologist, One Must Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Accurately Interpret And Analyze Laboratory Results. This Role Also Requires The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Technical Issues That May Arise During Testing.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: Attention To Detail And Accuracy Are Critical Qualifications For A Clinical Laboratory Technologist At Covance-Labcorp. The Candidate Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure Precise And Error-Free Results, As Well As The Ability To Follow Strict Protocols And Procedures To Maintain Quality Control In The Laboratory.
