  1. Provide expert assistance to pathologists in the examination and processing of samples.
  2. Accurately and efficiently prepare samples for pathological analysis.
  3. Assist with autopsies and surgical specimen dissections.

  5. Maintain and update laboratory records and documentation.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Pathology Or A Related Field: A Certified Pathologist Assistant (Cpa) At Covance-Labcorp Should Have A Bachelor's Degree In Pathology, Biology, Or A Related Field. This Educational Background Will Provide A Strong Foundation For Understanding The Principles And Practices Of Pathology.

  • Certification From The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp): Covance-Labcorp Requires Its Cpas To Hold A Certification From The Ascp. This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Knowledge And Expertise In The Field Of Pathology.

  • Experience In A Laboratory Setting: Candidates For The Cpa Position Should Have Experience Working In A Laboratory, Preferably In A Pathology Department. This Will Ensure That They Are Familiar With Laboratory Safety Protocols, Equipment, And Procedures.

  • Strong Technical Skills: A Cpa At Covance-Labcorp Should Have Strong Technical Skills, Including The Ability To Operate And Maintain Laboratory Equipment And Use Computer Software For Data Analysis And Reporting.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: As A Cpa, Attention To Detail And Accuracy Are Crucial In Performing Tasks Such As Tissue Dissection, Specimen Preparation, And Analysis. Covance-Labcorp Seeks Candidates Who Possess Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure High-Quality Results.
