  1. Conduct comprehensive patent searches and analyses to determine the patentability of new inventions and innovations developed by the company.
  2. Draft and file patent applications in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and regulations.
  3. Communicate with inventors and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure accurate and thorough patent applications.
  4. Monitor and maintain the company's patent portfolio, including reviewing and responding to office actions, maintenance fees, and other related matters.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues in the legal department and other departments to ensure alignment of patent strategy with business objectives.
  6. Conduct patent clearance searches and provide legal opinions on potential patent infringements.
  7. Stay up-to-date on changes in patent laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide guidance to the company.
  8. Assist with patent litigation matters, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and providing support to outside counsel.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external patent agents and attorneys to effectively manage the company's global patent portfolio.
  10. Educate and train colleagues on patent law and procedures to help protect the company's intellectual property.
  11. Provide legal advice and counsel on other intellectual property matters, including trademarks and copyrights.
  12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and development projects, including review and negotiation of research agreements and licensing agreements.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and ensure the protection of the company's sensitive and proprietary information.
  14. Represent the company in patent-related legal proceedings, including patent office hearings and appeals.
  15. Act as a key advisor to senior management on patent-related matters, providing recommendations and strategic guidance.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School, With A Strong Academic Record.

  • Admission To Practice Law Before The United States Patent And Trademark Office (Uspto).

  • Prior Experience In Patent Law, With A Focus On Drafting And Prosecuting Patent Applications.

  • Strong Understanding Of Intellectual Property Laws And Regulations, Particularly In The Agricultural Industry.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Clients And Stakeholders.
