  1. Oversee the production and maintenance of horticultural research and development facilities.
  2. Supervise and mentor a team of horticultural staff.
  3. Create and implement production and maintenance schedules to ensure efficient operation of facilities.
  4. Monitor and maintain plant growth and health, including pest and disease management.
  5. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  6. Work closely with research and development teams to plan and execute experiments and trials.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise in the facility.
  8. Maintain accurate records and data on plant growth and production.
  9. Train and educate staff on horticultural techniques and procedures.

  12. Assist with budget planning and resource management.

Job Qualifications

  • Degree In Horticulture Or Related Field: A Horticultural Supervisor At Corteva Should Possess A Degree In Horticulture, Agriculture, Or A Related Field To Demonstrate A Strong Understanding Of Plant Science, Soil Management, And Pest Control.

  • Previous Supervisory Experience: This Role Requires Managing A Team Of Horticultural Workers And Overseeing Their Daily Activities. Therefore, A Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In A Supervisory Role, Preferably In A Horticultural Setting.

This Knowledge Will Be Essential In Ensuring The Success Of Corteva's Horticultural Operations.

  • Strong Organizational And Communication Skills: As A Horticultural Supervisor, One Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, As Well As Other Departments And Stakeholders. Strong Organizational Skills Are Also Necessary To Manage Schedules, Budgets, And Resources Efficiently.

  • Familiarity With Safety Protocols And Regulations: Horticultural Work Involves Handling Equipment, Chemicals, And Potentially Hazardous Materials. A Qualified Candidate Should Have Knowledge Of Safety Protocols And Regulations To Ensure A Safe Working Environment For Themselves And Their Team.
