  1. Build and maintain relationships with growers in the West Central Illinois region.
  2. Provide expert agronomic advice and recommendations to growers based on their specific needs and goals.
  3. Promote and sell Corteva's product portfolio to growers, highlighting the benefits and advantages to their operations.
  4. Act as a brand ambassador for Corteva, representing the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
  5. Continuously seek out new business opportunities and potential customers in the assigned region.
  6. Collaborate with other team members and departments, such as marketing and research, to develop effective sales strategies and plans.
  7. Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with growers and internal teams.
  8. Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and adapt as needed.
  9. Meet or exceed sales targets and goals set by the company.
  10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market data.
  11. Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and represent Corteva.
  12. Continuously improve and expand knowledge of agronomy principles and practices through ongoing training and education.
  13. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
  14. Travel to various locations within the assigned region to meet with growers and attend events.
  15. Represent Corteva in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Agronomy Or Related Field - A Strong Educational Background In Agronomy, Crop Science, Or A Related Field Is Essential For A Field Sales Agronomist Role. This Education Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Assist Farmers With Crop Management And Provide Technical Support.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Crop Production Practices And Technologies - A Successful Field Sales Agronomist Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Current And Emerging Crop Production Practices, Including Precision Agriculture, Soil Management, And Pest Management. This Knowledge Allows Them To Provide Valuable Insights And Recommendations To Farmers.

  • Proven Sales Experience In The Agricultural Industry - The Ideal Candidate For A Field Sales Agronomist Position Should Have A Track Record Of Success In Sales, Preferably In The Agricultural Industry. This Experience Demonstrates The Ability To Build Relationships With Customers, Understand Their Needs, And Effectively Promote And Sell Products.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills - As A Field Sales Agronomist, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For Building Relationships With Farmers And Effectively Communicating Technical Information.
