
Senior Research Scientist - Optics
We are looking for an experienced and creative Senior Research Scientist - Optics to join Corning’s world-class team of scientists and engineers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, a deep understanding of optics, and a demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.We are looking for a Senior Research Scientist - Optics who is highly motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment. To be successful in this role, you must have a PhD in physics, engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in the optics field. Additionally, you must have extensive knowledge of optical materials and physics fundamentals, including propagation, diffraction, and polarization. Experience with optical design and imaging systems, as well as familiarity with optical characterization techniques, is also required.You must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as an ability to manage and mentor junior research staff. We are looking for someone who is able to think outside the box and develop creative solutions to challenging optical problems.
