Ability to be "player/coach" as necessary to ensure proper coverage of processes and projects. Willing to provide hands on leadership at times for troubleshooting and/or project leadership. Drives continuous improvement in manufacturing and cost reduction for the site while maintaining compliance to systems (Quality, Safety, etc.) and product requirements. Develop, coach, and mentor engineering personnel as appropriate to build and leverage skill sets to enhance the effectiveness of the engineering group. Assist with setting and executing short- and long-term engineering strategies to achieve plant production, quality, safety, and financial goals. Increase throughput in the bottleneck process by improving yield and reducing set-up time. Interface with the Product Team to understand and influence critical business priorities.Track engineering objectives that link to the overall plant and business objectives. Assign objectives and projects to direct reports.
