- Conduct health assessments: Perform thorough health assessments of employees to identify any potential occupational health hazards and provide appropriate recommendations for prevention and management.
- Develop and implement health programs: Collaborate with management and employees to design and implement health programs that promote a healthy and safe work environment.
- Provide health education: Educate employees on occupational health and safety practices, including injury prevention, ergonomics, and personal protective equipment usage.
- Monitor and track employee health: Monitor and track employee health records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Manage workplace injuries: Respond to and manage workplace injuries, including providing first aid, arranging for medical treatment, and facilitating return-to-work plans.
- Conduct health and safety training: Conduct training sessions for employees on various health and safety topics, such as emergency response procedures and infectious disease prevention.
- Coordinate employee wellness programs: Work with other departments to plan and implement employee wellness programs, such as fitness challenges and mental health initiatives.
- Maintain health and safety standards: Ensure that the company is in compliance with all local, state, and federal occupational health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals: Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate employee healthcare services, including referrals, follow-up care, and health screenings.

Certification In Occupational Health Nursing: Corning Requires All Occupational Health Nurses To Possess A Certification In Occupational Health Nursing From A Recognized Nursing Organization, Such As The American Association Of Occupational Health Nurses (Aaohn).
Prior Experience In Occupational Health: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In An Occupational Health Setting, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Environment.
Knowledge Of Occupational Health Regulations: The Occupational Health Nurse Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Regulations Related To Occupational Health, Such As Osha, Niosh, And Workers' Compensation Laws.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Key Member Of The Corning Team, The Occupational Health Nurse Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Employees, Management, And External Partners.
