
Mechanical Engineer
In this role, you will be leading process and equipment improvement projects within finishing operations including cut, coating, trim and glaze, and packaging. Support the transfer of new technology, materials, and processes into production, including defining the acceptance criteria and leading the qualification process, and communicating progress and results to all stakeholders. Author documentation and provide training to the production team or maintenance team for new processes or process changes, including Standard Operating Setpoints, Standard Operating Procedures, Preventive Maintenance and Calibration, and troubleshooting procedures. Will need the ability to design and implement equipment solutions including conceptualization (CAD) through procurement or assembly. Prepare cost justifications and capital requests for any new equipment purchases that may be required to achieve project goals.
Able to collaborate across organizational boundaries and integrate solutions.
Minimum 3+ years of manufacturing or engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
Practical experience with basic statistics, familiarity with advanced statistical methods.
Exposure to Lean and Six Sigma (DMAIC) principles.
Able to handle multiple complex tasks and set priorities with multiple internal customers.
