  1. Collaborate with experienced engineers to learn about and understand Corning's manufacturing processes and technology.
  2. Assist with the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
  3. Conduct research and analysis to support engineering projects and initiatives.
  4. Participate in problem-solving and troubleshooting activities to identify and address production issues.
  5. Utilize technical skills and knowledge to contribute to the design, testing, and optimization of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  6. Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  7. Complete assigned tasks and projects within designated timelines and budgets.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to share progress, results, and recommendations.
  9. Continuously learn and develop new skills and knowledge related to manufacturing and technology.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Manufacturing Processes: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Manufacturing Processes, Such As Machining, Assembly, And Quality Control, In Order To Effectively Contribute To The Manufacturing And Technology Engineering Team.

  • Proficiency In Engineering Software: The Intern Should Have Experience Using Engineering Software, Such As Cad Or Cam, To Design And Analyze Manufacturing Processes And Products.

  • Knowledge Of Lean Manufacturing Principles: Corning Values The Implementation Of Lean Manufacturing Principles To Improve Efficiency And Reduce Waste. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Working Knowledge Of Lean Practices And The Ability To Apply Them In A Manufacturing Setting.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Intern Will Be Expected To Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Effectively With Team Members, Managers, And Other Stakeholders. Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
