Job Description

Corning is seeking an Intern, Law IP who is eager to learn and develop their skills in the legal field. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced attorneys and support staff while gaining invaluable insights into the legal profession.We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in Intellectual Property law. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and have an aptitude for problem-solving. This individual must be able to work independently and within a team, be proactive in their approach to tasks, and have the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.We recognize that the experience of an intern is a key ingredient in our success. Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in conducting legal research on intellectual property law topics.
  2. Attend meetings and take notes on key points discussed.
  3. Draft legal documents and internal memoranda.
  4. Assist in the review, protection, and enforcement of Corning’s intellectual property rights.
  5. Track and maintain records of all intellectual property matters.
  6. Stay abreast of changes in intellectual property law.
  7. Assist in providing legal advice and counsel to Corning.
  8. Develop and implement strategies for protecting Corning’s intellectual property rights.
  9. Collaborate with other members of the legal team to ensure that all intellectual property matters are handled efficiently and effectively.
  10. Provide administrative support and complete other tasks as assigned.
