Global Supply Management Intern

Corning is looking for a motivated and proactive Global Supply Management Intern who can join our team and help us drive our supply chain management strategy to the next level. As a Global Supply Management Intern, you will have an opportunity to work on numerous projects, gain invaluable experience, and develop skills that will help you excel in the supply chain field.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong analytical ability, and the ability to build relationships with suppliers. Responsibilities:

1. Assist with the development and implementation of Corning’s global supply chain management strategy.
2. Monitor and analyze the global supply chain to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
3. Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the delivery of goods and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
4. Monitor and track supply chain performance metrics, such as delivery times and cost savings.
5. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure an efficient and effective supply chain.
6. Develop and implement strategies and plans to reduce supply chain costs.
7. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate supply chain performance and improvement initiatives.
8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management.
9. Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects to support the global supply chain.
10. Perform data analysis and identify areas of improvement in the supply chain.
