Global Security Operations Center Analyst

The GSOC Analyst will be a key member of Corning's Global Security Organization, helping to protect the organization's assets by responding to security incidents, monitoring, and analyzing security tools.The successful candidate will have a passion for security, a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to multitask. The candidate should also have experience with security tools and technologies, including Network Access Control, Endpoint Protection, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions. Responsibilities: • Monitor and respond to security incidents and evaluate security tools. • Analyze security threats and vulnerabilities and recommend solutions. • Evaluate security tool performance and recommend improvements. • Perform risk assessments and recommend security measures to mitigate risk. • Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures. • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with security policies. • Troubleshoot security issues and provide technical assistance. • Research and stay up-to-date on security trends and best practices. • Assist in training and awareness initiatives for employees. • Provide timely reports on security incidents and investigations. • Utilize scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
