Senior Buyer
Develop, execute and sustain the commodity strategies and work cross functionally with Manufacturing, Sales and Engineering. Understand and investigate key market dynamics and trends including raw materials to validate cost competitiveness. Efficiently perform re-sourcing activities, as well as identify and implement lean savings projects through supply chain and operations involvement; lead cross functional teams as necessary to realize lean savings. Manage supply base with respect to their ability to provide products and services in accordance with the organization’s business requirements, cost parameters, terms and agreements. Develop and sustain relationships with key internal and external customers. Act as a mentor for colleagues; lead projects as defined by leadership.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in Direct Purchasing, Supply Chain or other closely related fields.
Experience leading diverse or cross-functional teams/projects (preferred).
Manufacturing or technical knowledge (preferred).
