
Chemical Engineer
The Chemical Engineering team within Cooper Standard is seeking a Chemical Engineer to support the development and characterization of new rubber/polymer compounds. If selected, you will work closely with the Principal Engineer, leading the development of new products, recipes, and will play a large role in the expansion of Cooper Standard into markets outside of the automotive domain. This role will be a key interface with Program Managers to meet the timing for the new product development and to meet the customer requirements. This role will also be responsible for making reports and occasionally presenting to the customers.
Knowledge of physics to understand friction and surface chemistry related bonding would be a plus.
Must have the ability to be flexible and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment.
Experience in the Chemical Engineering of foam is a plus. (Knowledge of mixing various ingredients to mix a batch and test for rheological and cure characterization)
