
Forensic Compliance Officer
Under the general direction of the Executive Officer of the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office (CCMEO) and his/her designee, is responsible for the implementation and/or maintenance of quality systems and document management such as quality manuals, procedure manuals, training and auditing for the Toxicology and Histology laboratories to comply with standards set by the College of American Pathologists, American Board of Forensic Toxicology (ABFT) and the International Organization of Standards (ISO 17025). Develops, implements, and oversees Quality programs for the entire Medical Examiner’s Office to maintain compliance with the accreditation criteria of the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME) and International Organization of Standards (ISO 17020). Performs other duties as assigned.
4 years' work experience as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Officer
Knowledge and ability to evaluate proper protocols for working with bio-hazardous fluids and tissues.
Knowledge of the methods and techniques of data collection, interpretation and analysis.
