Job Description

At Concord Hospital, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Phlebotomist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients for laboratory testing purposes. You will be an integral part of our patient care team, providing exceptional care and service to those in need.To succeed in this role, you should have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an individual who is an experienced phlebotomist with a minimum of two years of experience working in a clinical laboratory setting. You should have a valid state certification in phlebotomy and possess a comprehensive understanding of laboratory safety procedures. You should also have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.If you are an experienced and passionate Phlebotomist who is committed to providing the best care for our patients, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Collect blood samples from patients for laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols and safety procedures.
  2. Ensure accurate labeling of collected specimens.
  3. Maintain and monitor inventory of laboratory supplies.
  4. Assist with the preparation of specimens for transport or storage.
  5. Communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals in a professional and courteous manner.
  6. Monitor and document patient vital signs and other pertinent information.
  7. Ensure proper documentation of all collected specimens and related activities.
  8. Follow established hospital policies and procedures.
  9. Participate in continuing education and other training activities to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in phlebotomy.
  10. Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
