Job Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room at Community Health Network, you will provide top-notch care to patients before, during, and after surgeries. You will be a key member of the surgical team and will take charge of ensuring that the operating room is safe and that the patient is supported and comfortable. You will be responsible for taking vital signs, administering medications, and monitoring patient conditions throughout the surgical procedure.To be successful in this role, you must have an active Registered Nurse license in Indiana or be eligible for licensure, have at least two years of previous operating room experience, and have excellent communication and organizational skills. You must also be able to respond to unexpected situations in a calm and efficient manner. You must be detail-oriented and have a passion for providing high-quality care to patients. Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that the operating room is safe for all patients and staff.
  2. Take and record vital signs, administer medications, and monitor patient conditions throughout the surgical procedure.
  3. Communicate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care is provided.
  4. Respond effectively and efficiently to unexpected situations.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  6. Provide support and comfort to patients before, during, and after surgeries.
  7. Remain up-to-date on the latest nursing practices and procedures.
  8. Demonstrate a compassionate and caring attitude towards patients and their families.
  9. Follow all safety protocols and policies.
  10. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing

  • Current Unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse License

  • At Least Two Years Of Experience In The Operating Room

  • Demonstrated Knowledge Of Applicable Clinical Nursing Standards/Regulations

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification
