Lactation Consultant RN - NICU

We are looking for a passionate, experienced Lactation Consultant RN - NICU to join our team at Community Health Network. Our ideal candidate is an RN with a passion for helping families and newborns, and the expertise to provide support and guidance in the NICU setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as a commitment to providing high quality care to our patients and families. The successful candidate will be a licensed RN in the state of Indiana and have a minimum of three years’ experience in the NICU setting. They will also have current certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). We are looking for someone who is committed to excellence and is eager to help our families provide the best care for their newborns.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide families and newborns in the NICU setting with expert support and guidance.
2. Develop and implement strategies to ensure high quality care is provided to patients and families.
3. Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Ensure compliance with state of Indiana licensing regulations.
5. Possess current certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
6. Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes to ensure best practices are being implemented.
7. Collaborate with other care providers to coordinate patient care.
8. Participate in continuing education, staff development and training programs.
9. Identify and address any patient care issues or concerns in a timely manner.
