
Emergency Dept Technician
The Emergency Department Technician at Community Health Network plays a critical role in providing quality care to our patients in the Emergency Department. We’re looking for a passionate, compassionate and highly organized individual who can demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to provide support to our clinicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications: an Associate’s degree in a health-related field; current certification or licensure in the state of Indiana; excellent customer service skills; experience in an acute care setting; the ability to work independently; and the willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities:
- Assist clinicians, nurses and other healthcare personnel in providing quality care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Utilize expertise to support healthcare professionals.
- Maintain current certification or licensure in the state of Indiana.
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients and family members.
- Work independently and collaboratively with other healthcare staff.
- Maintain flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and document medical information.
- Educate patients and family members on treatments and medications.
- Assist with diagnostic testing, laboratory work and other procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the Emergency Department.
