  1. Develop and implement nursing education programs across the healthcare system.
  2. Oversee the quality and effectiveness of nursing education programs.
  3. Collaborate with nursing leaders and educators to identify education needs and develop strategies to address them.
  4. Manage and coordinate resources, including budget, for nursing education programs.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards for nursing education.
  6. Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in nursing education and incorporate them into program development.
  7. Mentor and coach nursing educators to promote professional growth and development.
  8. Evaluate the performance of nursing education programs and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  9. Facilitate communication and collaboration among nursing education staff, nursing leaders, and other healthcare professionals.
  10. Represent the organization at conferences and events to promote nursing education and build partnerships within the healthcare community.
  11. Maintain accurate records and reports related to nursing education programs.
  12. Promote a culture of excellence and continuous learning among nursing staff.
  13. Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for nursing students.
  14. Participate in the recruitment and selection of nursing education staff.
  15. Advocate for the advancement of nursing education and the nursing profession.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing: A Nursing Education Program Manager At Commonspirit Health Should Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing. A Master's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field Is Preferred.

  • Active Rn License: The Candidate Should Have An Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Where The Program Is Located. This Is Necessary To Ensure The Manager Has A Thorough Understanding Of The Nursing Profession And Can Provide Guidance And Support To The Educators In The Program.

  • Previous Teaching Or Educational Experience: Commonspirit Health Values Candidates Who Have Experience In Teaching Or Educational Roles. This Could Include Experience As A Nurse Educator, Preceptor, Or Clinical Instructor. It Is Important For The Manager To Have A Strong Foundation In Education To Effectively Lead The Program.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As A Program Manager, The Candidate Should Possess Strong Leadership And Management Skills. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate, Delegate Tasks, And Make Decisions In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Healthcare Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations: A Nursing Education Program Manager Should Be Knowledgeable About Current Industry Standards And Regulations In Nursing Education. This Includes Accreditation Requirements, Curriculum Development, And Clinical Practice Guidelines. This Knowledge Is Essential In Ensuring The Program Meets The Necessary Standards And Prepares Students For Successful Nursing Careers.
