  1. Review and process insurance authorizations and referrals for patients, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  2. Communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to obtain necessary information and resolve any issues related to authorizations and referrals.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure that all necessary documentation is submitted for insurance authorizations and referrals.
  4. Maintain a thorough understanding of insurance processes and regulations, staying up-to-date on any changes or updates.
  5. Utilize electronic medical records and billing systems to accurately document and track insurance authorizations and referrals.
  6. Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients, informing them of any potential out-of-pocket costs.
  7. Monitor and track the status of pending authorizations and referrals, following up as needed to ensure timely completion.
  8. Work closely with the billing department to ensure that insurance authorizations and referrals are accurately documented and processed for payment.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns related to insurance authorizations and referrals.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations in handling sensitive patient information.
