Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department of Comanche County Memorial Hospital, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team providing compassionate and effective care to patients. You will utilize your nursing knowledge and skills to evaluate, assess, and treat patients in a timely and efficient manner. We are searching for a highly experienced nurse who is experienced in the emergency department and is passionate about providing excellent patient care.Qualifications:• Current Registered Nurse with an active nursing license in the State of Texas• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program• 5+ years of nursing experience in an Emergency Department• Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and protocols• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems

Responsibilities:

1. Provide quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
2. Evaluate and assess patient’s condition and develop appropriate care plans.
3. Administer medication and treatments in accordance with physicians’ orders.
4. Document patient care in the EMR system in a timely and accurate manner.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients.
6. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
7. Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
8. Educate and counsel patients and family members on health care needs and treatments.
9. Monitor and respond to changes in patient’s condition.
10. Follow hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
