Patient Account Representative

Responsibilities: • Provide financial counseling to patients and ensure their accounts are properly managed. • Collect payments from patients and ensure that they understand their billing statements. • Follow up on delinquent accounts and ensure timely payments. • Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in all accounts. • Compile monthly financial reports and analyze financial trends. • Manage patient accounts in accordance with hospital policy and procedures. • Resolve patient account discrepancies and billing errors. • Respond to inquiries from patients, staff, and insurance companies. • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. • Utilize electronic medical records systems and other software to process payments and track accounts. • Perform other duties as assigned.
