Medication Reconciliation Technician - ER

Comanche County Memorial Hospital is searching for a skilled and compassionate Medication Reconciliation Technician - ER to join our Emergency Department team. The successful candidate will have experience in a fast-paced hospital setting and a commitment to excellent patient care.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: a high school diploma or equivalent, a current nursing license, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous medication reconciliation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities of a Medication Reconciliation Technician - ER:

1. Utilize current nursing license to accurately administer and reconcile medications for patients in the Emergency Department.
2. Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of medication reconciliation in the patient's medical record.
4. Ensure medications are administered in accordance with accepted standards of practice.
5. Maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
6. Provide patient education and counseling on medications and their potential side effects.
7. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to medications.
8. Assist with inventory management and restocking of medication supplies.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
10. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
