
Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist
We are looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist to join our team at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to use their knowledge and expertise to enhance patient care as well as improve the financial performance of the hospital.As our Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist, you will play a critical role in improving the accuracy of our medical record documentation. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving any discrepancies in the medical record and ensuring that all information is accurate, compliant with regulatory requirements, and reflects the patient’s condition and care.The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding conventions, and reimbursement processes. Responsibilities:
- Identify discrepancies in medical record documentation and make corrections to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Educate physicians and other healthcare providers on the importance of accurate documentation.
- Analyze medical records to identify potential areas of improvement.
- Monitor coding and reimbursement processes for accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and implement new processes and guidelines for clinical documentation.
- Track and report progress on documentation improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records.

- Remain current on industry trends and changes in healthcare regulations.
- Assist with other projects as needed.
Excellent Communication Skills
