Job Description

Columbia Sportswear is seeking a passionate and experienced Safety Program Manager to join our team at our Distribution Center. As the Safety Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees at the center.   1. Develop and implement safety programs and policies to ensure the well-being of employees at the Distribution Center.
  2. Conduct regular safety training sessions for employees and provide resources for ongoing safety education.
  3. Lead safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and develop action plans for improvement.
  5. Stay up-to-date on current safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
  6. Serve as the point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and escalate any issues to senior management as needed.
  7. Investigate and report on any safety incidents or accidents, and develop strategies to prevent them from occurring in the future.
  8. Monitor and analyze safety data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  9. Foster a positive safety culture by promoting safety awareness and encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives.
  10. Maintain and update safety records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  11. Oversee the distribution and maintenance of safety equipment and supplies.
  12. Manage the safety budget and make cost-effective decisions to improve safety standards.
  13. Conduct regular safety meetings and provide progress reports to senior management.
  14. Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to stay informed on safety regulations and industry updates.
  15. Mentor and train team members on safety procedures and protocols.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Safety Regulations And Compliance Standards: A Qualified Safety Program Manager For A Distribution Center At Columbia Sportswear Must Possess A Strong Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Safety Regulations, As Well As Industry-Specific Compliance Standards.

  • Experience In Managing Safety Programs: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Developing And Implementing Safety Programs In A Distribution Center Environment.
