Materials Sourcing Specialist

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the sourcing process, have well-developed negotiation skills, and be capable of identifying and forming valuable partnerships with suppliers and vendors.The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field, at least 3-5 years of sourcing experience, and a proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects. In addition, the successful candidate should have a deep understanding of the apparel industry, strong communication and organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional products and services.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify and vet potential suppliers and vendors to meet Columbia Sportswear’s materials and services needs.
2. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and vendors.
3. Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and vendors.
4. Source high quality materials and services to enable the development and production of products.
5. Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.
6. Monitor industry trends and developments in apparel sourcing.
7. Research and evaluate potential new suppliers and vendors.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
9. Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
10. Prepare reports on sourcing activities and progress.
