In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth through our global network of distributors.   1. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets through our international distributor network.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential distributors to ensure continued sales growth.
  3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in untapped international markets.
  4. Conduct market research and analysis to stay current on global trends and competitors.
  5. Train and support distributors on product knowledge, sales techniques, and brand messaging.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and supply chain to ensure efficient and effective distribution.
  7. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  8. Create and present sales forecasts, reports, and presentations to upper management.
  9. Negotiate and manage contracts and pricing agreements with distributors.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and compliance requirements for international sales.
  11. Represent Columbia Sportswear at industry events and trade shows to promote our brand and products.
  12. Continuously seek out ways to improve processes and drive sales efficiency.
  13. Mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
  14. Travel internationally to meet with distributors, attend trade shows, and conduct market research.
  15. Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Sales Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Sales, Preferably In The Outdoor Or Sporting Goods Industry. This Experience Should Include A Proven Track Record Of Meeting And Exceeding Sales Targets And Building Strong Relationships With Distributors.

  • Understanding Of International Markets: As An International Distributor Sales Manager, The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of International Markets, Including Cultural Differences, Local Regulations, And Distribution Channels. This Knowledge Will Be Crucial In Developing And Implementing Effective Sales Strategies.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills To Effectively Communicate With Distributors, Understand Their Needs, And Negotiate Favorable Terms For Both Parties. Fluency In Multiple Languages Is Also Preferred.

  • Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills: The International Distributor Sales Manager Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Sales Representatives In Different Regions. Therefore, The Ideal Candidate Should Have Proven Leadership Skills And The Ability To Motivate And Guide A Team Towards Achieving Common Goals.

  • Knowledge Of Columbia Sportswear Products: A Strong Understanding Of Columbia Sportswear Products And Their Unique Features Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate The Value And Benefits Of The Products To Distributors And Provide Training And Support To The Sales Team.
